Timmons Garners All-Region Honors

May 20 – (DULUTH, Ga.) – Carnegie Mellon University men’s junior golfer Alex Timmons (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) was named to the 2008 PING Mid-Atlantic Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.  

Timmons for the second year in a row has been named All-Region as well as recording the Tartans lowest average with a score of 76.8 through sixteen rounds.  He also recorded the most top ten finishes on the team with seven.  He now has a combined 19 top ten finishes in three seasons.

The junior claimed All-University Athletic Association second team honors in 2008.  He fired his lowest round of the season (69) at the Lamkin Intercollegiate in the fall.  His low round 69 was the start of shooting three straight rounds under par.
