Straub Honored By UAA

Mar. 22 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) Carnegie Mellon University senior A.J. Straub (St. Mary’s, Pa./Elk County Catholic) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance on the Tartans spring trip to Florida.

Straub earned medalist honors with a score of 74 for 18 holes, leading the Tartans to top team honors in their three-team season opener in St. Petersburg, FL with Shenandoah University and the “B” team from NCAA Division II Eckerd College. Carnegie Mellon posted a score of 309, nine strokes better than runner-up Eckerd.
