Sivek Honored Again by the UAA

Nov. 14 - (Rochester, N.Y.) – For the third consecutive week junior fullback Travis Sivek (Traverse City, Mich./St. Francis) earned University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week honors. Sivek received the honor after leading the Tartans to a perfect 10-0 season with a 14-7 victory at Thiel College in the regular season finale.

Sivek set a school record in career rushing with a 40-carry, 172-yard performance in the win over Thiel. With the 172-yard outing he became the university's all-time leading rusher with 2,912 career yards. He scored the game’s opening touchdown with a one-yard run in the opening quarter as the Tartans compiled 251 yards on the ground en route to an undefeated regular season and their first NCAA Division III Football Championship berth in 16 years.
