Scholl Named UAA Defensive Player of the Week
Sept. 27 - (Rochester, N.Y.) – For the fourth straight week a Carnegie Mellon defensive football player has been named the University Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week. Junior defensive back Jonathan Scholl (Coraopolis, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) was awarded this week for his performance in the Tartans 34-14 victory over Franklin & Marshall Saturday, September 23.
Scholl led the Tartan defense to its fourth straight win with a career-high 13 total tackles, including six solo. He assisted in an additional tackle for a loss of one yard. Scholl and the defensive back core held a Franklin & Marshall College air attack to 172 yards.
