Sivek Earns ECAC Southwest Offensive Player of the Week Honors

Sept. 13 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) Carnegie Mellon University sophomore running back Travis Sivek (Traverse City, MI/St. Francis) was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Grove City College, Saturday, September 13.

Sivek rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns in the second half of the Tartans 20-16 come from behind victory over Grove City College Saturday. Sivek finished the afternoon with 125 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Sivek’s second score came with 4:45 left in the game and put the Tartans up for good at 17-16. Sivek’s 125 yards marked a career-high and was the fourth time in his career he ran for 100 plus yards.
