Carnegie Mellon’s Lewis Receives UAA and ECAC Honors

Sept. 27 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) Carnegie Mellon University junior defensive back Aaron Lewis (Englewood, OH/Northmont) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second straight week along with being named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest Defensive Player of the Week.

Lewis produced game highs for total and solo tackles in a 6-0 Tartan loss to Franklin & Marshall College Saturday, September 24. Lewis made 17 tackles, including a career-high 11 solo stops, increasing his season total to 43 tackles. Lewis and the Tartans’ defense have yet to allow a touchdown in over 11 quarters of play and have only allowed one on the season.
