Lewis Receives ECAC Honors

Oct. 5 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) Carnegie Mellon University junior defensive back Aaron Lewis (Englewood, OH/Northmont) was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week for his performance, Saturday, October 1 in a 63-28 victory at Colorado College.

Lewis registered a team high in tackles for the third straight week in leading the Tartans over Colorado College. Lewis recorded a team-leading ten tackles, including nine solo stops. He also contributed in the Tartans' single-game record seven interceptions, tying a single-game school mark with three interceptions for 83 yards. Lewis currently leads the UAA in tackles (53, 34 solo) and interceptions (5) and is ranked nationally in interceptions and solo tackles.
