Lewis Honored by Don Hansen;
Named Don Hansen Football Gazette Third Team All-American

Jan. 13 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - Carnegie Mellon University junior defensive back Aaron Lewis (Englewood, Ohio/Northmont) was named to the Don Hansen Football Gazette 2005 All-America Third Team, as announced late Thursday, January 12.

Lewis was previously selected by Don Hansen Football Gazette as an All-South Region first team member. He also garnered D3football.com All-American Second Team honors, First Team All-University Athletic Association (UAA) honors for the third straight year, was named to the ECAC Division III Southwest First Team and to the First Team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America team from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Lewis led the UAA with 115 (61 solo) tackles and ranked second in the UAA with six interceptions. Lewis recorded double-digit tackles six times, including a career-high 22 against Thiel College in the season finale.

Lewis, 6-0, 210, was also named UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week four times during the 2005 season and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week twice.
