Greenstein and Lewis Receive UAA Honors

Sept. 20 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) Carnegie Mellon University football team had two players recognized by the University Athletic Association (UAA) as Athletes of the Week for their performance this past week.

Junior place kicker Nathaniel Greenstein (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y./Dobbs Ferry) was named UAA Special Teams Athlete of the Week for the second straight week along with junior defensive back Aaron Lewis (Englewood, OH/Northmont), left, who was named UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week for their performance, Saturday, September 17, against Johns Hopkins University.

Greenstein connected on a pair of field goals, including a career-long 39-yard score with 1:53 remaining in the game, during a 9-6 loss to Johns Hopkins University. Greenstein is 4-for-5 on the year on field goals, with his only miss coming from 47 yards out, and is perfect on eight extra-point attempts.

Lewis recorded a game high 13 tackles, 10 solo, in the Tartans 9-6 loss to Johns Hopkins. Lewis’ 10 solo tackles sets a new career high. Lewis currently leads the team in tackles (26) and interceptions (2).
