Cross Country Going to NCAAs

Nov. 12 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - Carnegie Mellon's men's cross country team was selected to go to the NCAA Division III Meet to be held, November 18 in Wilmington, Ohio. The Tartans received an at large selection by finishing third in the Mideast Region.

To earn a trip to the NCAA meet, you must finish in the top two of your region or receive an at large selection (16 available) for which you must qualify for by finishing in the top five of your region.

This marks the second straight trip to the NCAAs for the men's team. Last season the Tartans finished eighth out of 24 teams. Running in this year's meet are freshman Dario Donatelli (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic), sophomores Breck Fresen (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Stevenson), Mike Haley (North Hills, Pa.), Brian Harvey (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial), and Bill Lordan (Paoli, Pa./Great Valley), junior Jason Jura (Forrest Hill, Md./Dulaney) and senior Geoff Misek (Goodrich, Mich.).
