Tartans Finish 2nd at Division I Race

Sept. 17 - (HARRISONBURG, Va.) – The Tartan male runners competed with two Division I and two Division III institutions at the James Madison Invitational on September 17. Carnegie Mellon finished second behind host James Madison with 39 points and ahead of Eastern Mennonite, Bridgewater and George Mason.
Senior Dana Irrer (Okemos, Mich.) finished third overall in a field of 48 runners with a time of 25:50.9. He was two seconds behind the second place finisher, as James Madison took the two top spots. Senior Nick End (Shorewood, Wis.) and junior Mike Bridenbaugh (Defiance, Ohio) both finished in the top 10 for the Tartans finishing fifth and eighth, respectively.
The Tartan runners will be travel to Dickinson College on Saturday, October 1 for a 10:30 race start.
