Irrer Honored By UAA

Nov. 22 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) Carnegie Mellon University senior Dana Irrer (Okemos, Mich.) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for his performance at the NCAA Division III Championships Saturday, November 19.

Irrer attained All-American recognition with a fifth-place finish in the men’s 8,000-meter race at the 2005 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Delaware, Ohio. He posted a time of 25:39.9, as the Tartans finished eighth in a field of 24 teams. His finish was the second-best performance in school history, while the team finish is the best since 1981.
