Tartans Finish 2-2 at Duquesne Duals

Sept. 3 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team opened the season at the Duquesne Duals Saturday, September 3 held at Schenley Oval. The Tartans defeated St. Bonaventure and Penn State Altoona during the day, while finishing just behind University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne.

Freshmen Andy Frederickson (Seymour, Conn./Hopkins) and Breck Fresen (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Stevenson) had the top finishes for the Tartans finishing 19th and 20th overall. Frederickson crossed the line in a time of 27:36 with Fresen right behind in 27:47.

The Tartans are splitting the teams while traveling to James Madison University and Penn State Behrend on September 17.
