Einwag Earns ECAC Honors

Jan. 3 - (CENTERVILLE, Mass.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Ryan Einwag (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for his performance in leading Carnegie Mellon to a to a 1-1 record over the break.

In the Tartans 64-63 victory over Capital University, Einwag finished the game with 22 points and eight rebounds, while shooting 64% from the field (7-of-11). Einwag also led the way in the Tartans loss to Bluffton with 16 points and 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. He averaged 19 points, 9.5 rebounds and three assists for the Tartans.

Carnegie Mellon will continue play as they host a pair of University Athletic Association (UAA) opponents this weekend. The Tartans will host New York University on Friday, January 5 for an 8:00 p.m. tip and Brandeis University on Sunday, January 7 for a 12:00 p.m. tip.
