20-20-20/LUNCH EXPRESS
This class is the best of all worlds; cardio for 20 minutes, sculpting for 20 minutes, using tubes, body weight or light weights, and 20 minutes of abdominal work on and off the ball. Come for the full 60 minutes or for any part of the class and get a great abs workout.
AB SESSION
An intense 1/2 hour ab workout! (All levels).
AFRICAN-CARIBBEAN DANCE
Come and learn some moves from West Africa, The Islands and Brazil. The dancing is lively, uplifting and a great workout. Everyone is welcome--no experience is necessary. (All Levels)
AQUA@BOTH ENDS
Discover a great way to effectively train and smoothly blend excitement and fun with directional changes and multi dimensional movement while working your heart, toning your muscles and strengthening your core. Repeated bouts of exercise with intermittent rest periods challenging even the deepest muscle layers in your body. Participants are in either shallow or deep water.
NO SWIMMING SKILLS REQUIRED! Buoyance & resistance equipment supplied.
BODY SCULPTING
This class maximizes strength and fitness by using weights/bands/body bars and personal weight. This course also offers the benefit of abdominal srengthening and stabilization through use of balls and disks - ALL equipment is provided - "Personal Training in a Group Setting".
BOOT CAMP
Come experience the ultimate workout with Daisy's Boot Camp! Get ready to sweat, pump up your heart and have fun as you tone,run and work like never before! Each class we switch routines to keep the body at peak performance, with a combination of circuit training, cardio and weight lifting. The perfect class for men and women alike!
CARDIO ON THE BALL
Great new class using the fitness balls to bounce, roll, lean on, and balance to challenge yourself with this new dimension of fitness.
CARDIO PUMP
This cardio and weights class is a must for those who want the best of both in a quick lunchtime session. The well paced music will let you have fun moving from the minute the music starts to the well planned weight training portion and abs section at the end. All levels and no experience necessary.
CYCLING (SPINNING)
An indoor cycling class that will take you on a race; build strength or experience a journey all lead by the instructor. You will experience running, jumping, hill climbing, seated climbs and of course fast peddling, Spinning, on a flat road, simulated of course. This class is for all levels and can be as gentle or as heart pounding as you prefer. Come, Take a Ride. It's as easy as riding a bike....actually it is a "great" BIKE RIDE!
FITNESS FUSION
A fun power packed workout designed to introduce all aspects of fitness. This class combines simple exercises including cardio endurance with dynamic balance and stabilization. The class will fuse fitness while maximizing the benefits offered by training with concise, innovative and effective exercises for the whole body. Every few weeks another aerobice activity wil be added. We will start slowly so you can experience progressions and advance your taining. During the fusion of strength, core and flexibility we will use a variety of "toys" to enhance your fun and fitness while fusing the total package of mind, body and spirit.
HIP HOP
Learn to move with the best. The continued craze of Hip Hop movement is taught by a professional dancer who can take even the most non creative exerciser/dancer to the hottest moves in a few easy to follow steps. Come and be amazed at how in 1 hour you will learn the whole routine.
KICKBOXING
This is a high-energy total body workout with lots of kick. Basic moves like jabs, upper-cuts, and blocks are combined with lo and hi impact aerobics for maximum calorie burning. During the last 20 minutes of class, gloves and mitts are added to increase intensity and to get rid of all that stress! Beginners welcome, fun for all!
LATIN FUSION
A cardio class using all styles of high energy Latin moves and music. No prior dancing experience needed, just bring yourself and lots of water.
NON-MAJOR DANCE-AFRICAN/MODERN
This class incorporates Afro-Modern dance technique (specifically elements of Dunham and Horton technique) and applies it to dance movements from West Africa, Haiti and/or Brazil. Students will build strength, alignment, and stamina while experience the joy of dancing to the exciting and mesmerizing music of these regions.
PERSONAL TRAINING
This class will afford you a chance to work with a professional trainer in a small group setting. The trainer will direct your program so that you will attain the most out of your work out. This class is limited to 8 participants so each program can be monitored closely.
PILATES
Core strengthening exercises (stomach/back). Focus is on long lean muscle development using strength moves & flexibility components.
STEP/ABS
Great step workout. Finish with an intense ab session. (All Levels)
STEP INTERVAL
Moderate intensity of step combinations and intervals of toning exercises (All levels)
YOGA - 3 STYLES
Iyengar (Instructors, Stephanie & Taya)
In the Iyengar system, classical postures are taught with an emphasis on precision and alignment, aided when necessary with various props to maximize opening and awareness. Class not intended to be a flow class.
Raja (Instructor, Brian)
Raja Yoga classically would involve the eight rungs or steps of Ashtanga. The particular style could be taken as an intermediate flow followed by relaxation and meditation. A more flow style, gentle but challenging movement class, lead by an experienced instructor who will guide you through the poses and challenge you when needed to reach your fitness goal, some meditation experiences.
Vinyasa (Instructor, Chelsea)
Power Yoga is one of the newest forms of yoga, and it draws from elements of Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga. One of the most physically challenging and dynamic types of yoga, poses in power yoga can be advanced at times, and the generation of heat from the body during the practice is used to allow the muscles to lengthen safely and can help in the clearing the body of toxins. This type of yoga is appropriate for all levels, as modifications are given to both lessen and to intensify asana (postures). This style also remains popular with traditional yogis seeking to take the practice to the next level. During a power yoga class, you should bring a face towel, perhaps a mat, towel, and a bottle of water.
ZUMBA
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music. The class features aerobic fitness with a combination of fast and slow rhythms. You don't need to be a dancer or know how to dance. Come have fun and learn the Zumba Shuffle! Zumba is an exciting workout for everyone. It's fun. It's different. It's easy but, most important - It's effective.
