Odebrecht Award for Sustainable Development
Deadline for Submission: 31, May
Students are invited to engage in a challenging exercise to develop solutions that promote innovation by writing and submitting a paper on contributions to sustainability.
Prizes are as follows:
First Prize $40,000*: $20,000 to the student (s), $10,000 to the advising professor, and $10,000 to the university
Second Prize $15,000*: $7,000 to the student (s), $4,000 to the advising professor, and $4,000 to the university
Third Prize $10,000*: $5,000 to the student (s), $2,500 to the advising professor, and $2,500 to the university
Odebrecht views sustainability as a multidimensional phenomenon that includes environmental balance, economic development, cultural diversity, social development, and political engagement. Entries should explore innovative methods and ideas that not only explore such concepts, but that may also be implemented on a variety of real-world ventures.
