University of Pittsburgh Press Special Exhibit

The University of Pittsburgh Press and the University Library System are pleased to announce a special exhibit featuring award-winning book design and celebrating the 75th anniversary of the press.

Monday, Jan. 10 – Friday, Jan. 21
Association of American University Presses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show

A traveling exhibit of the 2010 award-winning designs, intended to visually teach the tenets of good book design, which is currently touring the United States and will be in Pittsburgh for two weeks.

Monday, Jan. 10 – Friday, Feb. 18
University of Pittsburgh Press 75th Anniversary Show

An exhibit celebrating the 75-year history of the press, featuring a selection of books representative of the growing range of press publications over the years.
Both exhibits will be in the Latin American Lecture Room on the 1st floor of Hillman Library (3960 Forbes Avenue), during regular library hours.

Thursday, Jan. 20 at 4:00 PM
Rick Landesberg of Landesberg Design

Will give a talk on books and graphic design, followed by an opportunity for audience participation and discussion, at the same location.
