Research Fellow (High Density Threshold Studies)

The Centre for Sustainable Asian Cities has an opening for a Research Fellow for the "High Density Threshold Studies" project. The successful candidate should possess the following qualities:Basic Requirements
- A PhD degree in relevant areas (building science, architecture, urban planning, environmental engineering etc)
- Excellent writing skills
- Research experience as evidenced by research publications, reports or dissertation scores
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Looking for candidates who can support and supervise research in simulating environmental performance using various computer software.
Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
- Experience in urban environmental analysis (daylight, insolation, air ventilation, and visual perception)
- Experience in using at least one of the following computer software:
- Radiance, Rhino, Houdini, EnergyPlus (or other building energy simulation software), Fluent (or other CFD software)
- Experience in conducting household surveys
- Experience in research on tropical/high-density cities
Applicants with lesser academic qualifications and experience may be considered for a Research Assistant position.
