GSA Executive Elections

Deadline: 04 May

The Graduate Student Assembly is now accepting nominations for the 2011-2012 Executive Board.  Nominations can be submitted by emailing and will be accepted until 5 PM on May 4, 2011.  The term in office will run from June 1, 2011 until May 31, 2012. The election meeting on May 4 will be held in Margaret Morrison 103 and all nominees are strongly encouraged to attend and briefly present their ideas to the GSA body.  Interested applicants are also encouraged to attend the next regular GSA meeting on April 6 to get a feel for GSA.  The location of the Apr 6 meeting is still TBD.

There are five Executive positions (President, VP-Campus Affairs, VP-Social, VP-External Affairs, VP-Finance) which are open to any current CMU graduate student.  If you are interested in running, please email any of our current officers or for more information about your desired position.  Any of us would be more than willing to meet with you.  The email addresses for current officers are listed at

We encourage you to consider becoming active in your graduate student government.  GSA is the student governmental body representing ALL Carnegie Mellon graduate students.  We manage all graduate student activities fees, fund programs that benefit graduate students, and put on social events for graduate students across Carnegie Mellon.  GSA is also an advocate for graduate students at the campus, city, state, and federal levels.
