Engineering Sustainability 2011 | 11-12 April
ATTEND FREE!The Carnegie Mellon Steinbrenner Institute for Environmental Education and Research and the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation at the University of Pittsburgh have organized "Engineering Sustainability
2011", a biennial conference that we have co-sponsored since 2005. This fourth conference will be held April 11-12, 2011 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh. Each conference has been successful in attracting nearly 300 participants from academia, non-profits, government, and industry, with plenary speakers and technical sessions focused on sustainability issues pertaining to energy, water infrastructure, buildings, and transportation.
The conference has been very successful in attracting graduate and undergraduate students from across the U.S. and Canada.
The Steinbrenner Institute for Environmental Education and Research will pay the registration fee for any Carnegie Mellon student interested in attending the conference. Both single- and two-day (full conference) student registrations are available.
A student interested in registering for Engineering Sustainability 2011 should visit Ms. Becca Gray (location and contact information below) to register for the conference. Office hours for Ms. Gray are 9:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday. Registration information can also be emailed to Ms. Gray.
To qualify for the conference registration support, a student must be enrolled full time at Carnegie Mellon, and must commit to attending the conference on the day(s) for which they register. Each student registering through Ms. Gray must provide information about their enrollment status(undergraduate, graduate) and major department.
