The Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architectural Scholarship Fund

Deadline 01 May

ZGF Architects LLP is a nationally recognized architecture, planning and interior design firm with a long commitment to the critical collaboration of architectural education and professional practice.  For the last 6 years ZGF has had in place the Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architectural Scholarship Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation intended to recognize and foster students who have a demonstrated talent and passion for architecture.  A $10,000 stipend will be awarded to an admitted architecture student who is in a fifth year or master’s program at a board accredited college or university within the United States.  In addition to the financial award, a summer internship at one of our offices will be offered.  The recipient of this scholarship will be selected in June, with funds being awarded for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Originally awarded only to students in schools of architecture where we have our offices, eligibility for the scholarship has been expanded to students of all NAAB accredited schools of architecture.  Additional information and an application form is available on the Scholarship page on our site.

It is our intent to review highly qualified students from eligible institutions, each of whom must be recommended by the head of the school of architecture or faculty member with a signed letter from the dean.  Applications must be received no later than May 1, 2010.  The scholarship recipient will be chosen no later than June 1, 2010.

Any questions regarding the ZGF Scholarship should be directed to Janet Hull.
