The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments to Host Information Session on Grant Opportunities

The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments will host an information session about Investing in Professional Artists: The Pittsburgh Region Artists Program on Thursday, November 8 from 5-7 p.m. at The Andy Warhol Museum on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
Germaine Williams, Senior Program Officer for Arts and Culture at The Pittsburgh Foundation, Janet Sarbaugh, Senior Program Director, Arts and Culture, The Heinz Endowments, and project consultant, Marilyn Coleman, will discuss the program’s application and review process and answer questions.
The session is free and open to the arts community.
Now in its second year, the program provides grants of up to $10,000 directly to artists for projects that support their artistic and professional development and grants of up to $35,000 to arts organizations to support residencies with local, national or international artists. Individual artists and arts and cultural organizations based in the 10-county region including Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland Counties are eligible to apply. Last year, $216,206 was awarded to sixteen artists and arts organizations.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
