Program Overview
Abstract: Where do we derive inspitation? How are ideas formed? How does our working process lead to creatiave insight? I will speak to these questions through my teaching and professional experience and describe work of the CMU Bio_Logic Research Group that employs analytical and empirical processes of design. My intent is to give examples of cross-disciplinary design processes (architecture, engineering and industrial design) that enable one to work between fields, opearte without precept and invoke discovery as a primary mode of knowing.
