Changes Coming to Hunt Library

Updated Spaces to Open in October

Coming into Hunt Library, be prepared to see a construction zone on the 1st floor. But Hunt Library is fully operational above, below, and around the construction. Student favorites—24/5 hours, the Café, group studies, Quiet Study—are still here.

TEMPORARY conditions:

CAMEO-only workstation is available at circulation
Library workstations are concentrated on the 2nd floor,
or use workstations in the Hunt Cluster, LL
Extra study space is squeezed in throughout the building
Daytime construction noise (earplugs are provided!)
Services like printing, copying, scanning are available in the building—and will open on the 1st floor beginning Sept. 10.

And when the tarp comes down in October, we’ll celebrate your new library space:

Global Communications Center—library reference, one-on-one consultation, communications skills instruction, group work and presentation practice.
High tech group study rooms
Harry’s Bar—a wired countertop with bar seating along the windows looking out on the Peace Garden
The return of Emma Sharp Alcove
More study space and an interactive lounge

Check out the display in the library lobby showing the floor plan with furniture placement, and sample arrays of the colors, fabrics, and other finishes for the area.
