NASSCOM Diversity & Inclusion Summit 2010

Diversity and Inclusive Growth - Powering India to Centre Stage

22-23 November, ITC Royal Gardenia Bangalore

60% of India's population is less than 25 years old. A majority of them are women, people of different socio-cultural background and persons with disability, who are unemployed or underemployed.  Yet, they are also a significant proportion of users and consumers in the marketplace.

These are some of challenges to overcome if India has to continue its GDP growth at over 8% per year and become a major global economic player.

Indian industry recognizes this dichotomy and the IT-BPO industry has begun to leverage the diverse workforce of different genders, cultures, generations and those with disabilities to become employable and participate in the economy.

The 5th NASSCOM D & I Summit will see 500 CXOs and leaders from industry, government and public life sharing possible answers to the following questions:

  1. Does it make business sense for corporations to focus on a diverse workforce?
  2. What are the ways of incorporating diversity and inclusion into your organisation’s DNA?
  3. How to set Diversity goals and measure outcomes?
  4. Is there an ROI for companies for inclusive growth programs in the larger community?
The Summit will provide insights and opportunities for you and the key people from your team to engage with peers and share some of the good practices in your organization.

Day 2 of the Summit will have 8 hands-on workshops with concrete takeaways for organisations and individual employees.

As an integral part of the Ecosystem, we look forward to your active participation in this NASSCOM initiative as part of the India growth road map.

The offer is extended to teachers and students.
