BODY IN TEN PARTS
All performances at the Greybox Theatre, 3595 Butler St, Pittsburgh
Over the course of a single night an anonymous sleeper is disembodied.
A new movement theater piece directed by Nina Sarnelle and sponsored by the Carnegie Mellon School of Art.
Working with an original sound design composed by local artists, diverse movement collaborators and an appetite for the uncanny, Body in Ten Parts deconstructs the body into its various parts (head, elbow, foot, knee, etc.) and reinvents these parts in ways we haven’t seen before. This interdisciplinary live performance is inspired by innovators like Mummenschanz, Pilobolus, Philippe Genty and Philippe Decoufle, as well as many modern practitioners of pantomime, physical comedy, stage illusions, and experimental theater.
All performances at the Greybox Theatre, 3595 Butler St, Pittsburgh.
