Homecoming Schedule
The Student Homecoming Committee was formed for Homecoming 2008 to create opportunities for students and alumni to come together during Homecoming, while creating events where the student community celebrated their Carnegie Mellon pride.
The Homecoming 2009 Committee has begun meeting and planning for the fall celebration. Events and chairs include:
Battle of the Bands with Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity
September 26, 2009 at 7 pm

This is the 3rd annual Battle of the Bands that Sigma Epsilon Fraternity has hosted and the 2nd in conjunction with Alumni Relations and Homecoming. All proceeds raised will be donated to Sigma Phi Epsilon's national philanthropy, YouthAIDS. The first year that it was held in the Underground, the event raised over $400 and last year, the event managed to raise over $1,400! Please come out and support this now annual prelude to Homecoming!
Spirit Week

Show off your Carnegie Mellon spirit, pride and creativity by dressing up for our themed days! Stop by our table outside of Doherty Hall (or the UC Commons if it's raining) every day.
Receive a raffle ticket each day you participate, and rack up class points for the Highland Games. Bring your raffle ticket to the Highland Games on Friday for the chance to win an Acer Aspire One Netbook!

Celebration of Diwali & Eid ul-Fitr hosted by MayurSASA

The celebration of Diwali, also known as the “Festival of Lights”, is a major Indian festival signifying the victory of good over evil. Eid ul-Fitr is a joyous occasion celebrating the achievement of enhanced piety. The event is packed with crafts, performances and a buffet of traditional Indian cuisine. Buffet tickets may be purchased at the event with cash or check.
