Alumni Interest Groups

Alumni Interest Groups (AIGs) are organizations comprised of alumni and friends of Carnegie Mellon who have common interests arising from their University-recognized co-curricular activities or common cultural or professional interests.

Alumni Interest Groups are formed around at least one of the following criteria:

  • Former membership in an officially recognized student organization (past or present)
  • A shared personal characteristic (such as ethnicity or religion)
  • A shared postgraduate professional experience (such as entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, etc.)
