Getting to Campus and Parking Information

Shuttle Service

Each hotel listed on the hotel page provides a complimentary shuttle to and from campus throughout the weekend. Additionally, Carnegie Mellon will provide shuttle service in the evenings from 8:30-11:15 pm to and from each of these hotels and the campus drop off/pick up location, the University Center Circle.

Travel to Campus

Roads throughout Pittsburgh are under construction. For more details, please visit the Post Gazette Web site. Carnegie Mellon's campus map and directions to campus can help guide you through our more than 140 acres in the Pittsburgh area. Also, pre-recorded directions to campus are available at 412-268-8343.

Carnegie Mellon is 22 miles from Pittsburgh International Airport. Transportation options from Pittsburgh International Airport:

  • Port Authority Transit (PAT) 28X Flyer bus. This bus stops at the corner of Forbes Avenue and Morewood Avenue. The trip takes about an hour. For schedules and rates, contact 412-442-2000.
  • Express Shuttle USA provides shuttle service between the airport and hotels in downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland. For schedules and rates, call 412-472-3180.
  • Taxi Service:
    • Yellow Cab: 412-321-8100
    • People Cab: 412-441-3200
    • Checker Cab: 412-664-5600

Parking

Parking is limited on campus and in Oakland throughout Homecoming & Reunion Weekend. Parking is available in the East Campus garage for a daily rate of $10. All other lots, including the Greek Quad and the Alumni House, are permit-parking only. Additional pay-by-the-hour parking is available at the Dithridge and Collaborative Innovation Center garages and at the Carnegie Museums' lot/garage on the corner of South Craig and Forbes Avenue.
