An Open Letter to the Alumni Community

As leaders of the Alumni Association, we are excited to announce a new approach to celebrating reunions at Carnegie Mellon.
Over the years, reunion attendance and interest has fluctuated, as has time of the year when reunions were celebrated. The Alumni Association has listened to feedback from alumni about their reunion experience; in an effort to bring together a larger alumni audience and strengthen the support of unique Carnegie Mellon traditions, the celebration of ALL reunions, 1st through the Platinum classes, will be moved to Spring Carnival & Reunion Weekend starting this spring with all of the classes ending in 0s and 5s. Additionally, to ensure that every alumna and alumnus has a home when they return to campus, reunions will be celebrated by decade.
We believe this decision is in the best interest of both alumni and the university, and we hope that you will support this decision by serving on your reunion committee and coming back for Spring Carnival & Reunion Weekend 2010 on April 15-17. Information and events are updated regularly on the Spring Carnival & Reunion Weekend Web site.
If you are interested in serving on your Reunion Planning of Giving Committees, please email alumni-reunions@andrew.cmu.edu or call 800-226-8258.
Thank you for your continued support of Carnegie Mellon!
