Reunions
Quinquennial Reunions are held each year, in conjunction with the Spring Carnival and Homecoming celebrations. Following a five-year cycle, the Carnegie Mellon Alumni Association offers undergraduate classes and interest groups the opportunity to organize reunions. These reunions provide the opportunity for undergraduate alumni to celebrate the anniversary of their graduation with alumni and friends from their class year.Class reunions are held during both Spring Carnival and Homecoming weekends. For information about your class reunion or to get involved in planning it, please contact Laurel Furlow.
50th Reunion
The 50th Reunion is an important landmark for every alumnus/a. The university takes great pride in welcoming our 50th Reunion celebrants to Homecoming each year, and honors each of them individually during a Medallion Ceremony, which is a highlight of this reunion. A special 50th Reunion Memory Book also is published and provided to all attendees.
Alumni Interest Group Reunions
Alumni Interest Group reunions reconnect alumni with a common interest or affinity to the university. These reunions may be based on residence houses/halls, vocal ensembles, clubs or athletic programs, among others. Reunions for these groups are usually based on the anniversaries of when the groups were established and may occur at either Spring Carnival or Homecoming. Alumni who would like to plan a reunion for their group can contact Sarah McMullen for more information.
Start a Chapter
One of the most popular ways to reconnect with the university is through Regional Alumni Chapters. The Office of Alumni Relations works with alumni volunteers to build and maintain robust alumni chapters in 39 metropolitan areas across the country and around the world. If you cannot find an alumni chapter in your area, please contact Mara Barker in the Office of Alumni Relations. Additional reference materials for chapter leaders can be found in the Support for Volunteers section.
I’m looking for an old college roommate or friend. Can you help me?
Absolutely we can help you. The Alumni Online Directory is an excellent resource for finding friends with whom you may have lost contact, however, if you cannot find someone there, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations.
I would like a contact list of my graduating class.
The university maintains an alumni database for personal and individual communications among alumni and for official university purposes. For these reasons, we provide lists of groups of alumni only to the recognized volunteer leaders of those groups. So if you are a leader of your class or interest group and need a list, we are happy to provide one. Otherwise, we ask that you work through your groups’ organized leadership.
I can’t remember my log in or password to the alumni Web site.
For online help, please send an email to Timothy Seidel or call 412-268-2060 or 800-226-8258.
