Jobs & Resumes
Through this site, you can post jobs, search for jobs and add your resume into a searchable databank.
In addition to these services from the Alumni Association, Carnegie Mellon's Career and Professional Development Center offers a variety of resources to alumni.
- Career Advising
Alumni may schedule an appointment to meet with a Career Consultant to explore career options; discuss job search strategies; resume and cover letter reviews; and to discuss interviewing preparation. Please call the Career and Professional Development Center reception desk (412) 268-2064 to schedule an appointment.
- Career Resource Center
Located on campus, the Career and Professional Development Center offers books and resources describing career fields, labor market supply and demand, employer literature and "Career Briefs" information handouts.
- Credential Service
Alumni may create a personal credential file (typically consisting of reference letters) to be sent to employers or graduate schools upon your request. For up to one year after graduation, you may have 10 sets of credentials prepared and sent standard mail only without charge. E-mail the Career Center for a complete description of the service and fees.
- Campus Interviews
Campus interviews and other recruiting events primarily focus on entry-level employment opportunities for current students. Recent graduates have full access to these events and services, including campus interviews, for one year after their graduation date.
- Job Fairs
Alumni are welcome to all campus job fairs. For further information on these events; please read the job fairs section of the Career and Professional Development website or call (412) 268-2064.
Additional Online Tools From the Career and Professional Development Center
- MonsterTRAK
MonsterTRAK offers 24-hour access to experienced, full-time job vacancies for Carnegie Mellon alumni. You do not need a password to gain access to the service.
- TartanTRAK
All alumni can access the TartanTrak system to review alumni job postings and submit a resume to be included in the alumni resume book, which is used by employers to find candidates for positions requiring experience. Alumni within one year of their graduation can continue to have full access to on-campus recruiting provided they are still seeking their first post-graduate employment opportunity.
