If you are applying to the Schools of Art, Design, Drama or Music, you must register for an audition or portfolio review in order to be considered for admission. Applicants to the School of Architecture are required to complete an online questionnaire, and must do so before registering for a recommended portfolio review.
Throughout this site, you’ll find details about each school’s specific admission procedure, including information on how to prepare for an artistic review. If you intend to audition or complete a portfolio review for more than one program, you will need to complete the registration process for each program, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
In order to have an audition or portfolio review, you must submit your Common Application and Carnegie Mellon Common Application Supplement by the following dates:
