Press Release
Contact: The Second Annual Carnegie Mellon University Student and Alumni Art Sale Scheduled for Saturday, April 16
The art sale was held for the first time last year. Artwork for sale includes paintings, prints, photographs, jewelry, sculptures, music and many other mediums.
A new addition to this year's art sale is the raffling of autographed posters donated by Burton Morris. Anyone attending the show is eligible to win a Burton Morris poster.
"The art sale is a good way for our local art alumni to actively participate in an event happening on campus. The sale also gives them an opportunity to network with other art alumni and at the same time provides a venue for the artists to sell their art," said Martin Prekop, the Stanley and Marcia Gumberg Dean of the College of Fine Arts.
In addition to the art sale, the University Center Gallery will be featuring a group show by three alumni and local artists: Adam Grossi, Noel Hefele and Robin Hewlett.
For more information about the "Untitled" sale and to view a list of all the artists and their portfolios, please visit www.cmu.edu/untitled or contact Niloo Sobhani by email at ns1h@andrew.cmu.edu.
