French Film Kicks Off Second Annual International Film Festival at Carnegie Mellon

"Rana's Wedding" will be shown at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25 in McConomy Auditorium.

PITTSBURGH—The Department of Modern Languages at Carnegie Mellon University will launch Journeying Abroad (, its second annual international film festival, with the 2003 French-Belgian film "Since Otar Left" at 5 p.m. January 11 in McConomy Auditorium in Carnegie Mellon's University Center.

The film festival runs through April 26 and will feature a film every Tuesday (except March 8) at 5 p.m. The original version of each film will be shown with English subtitles. The films are free and open to the public. Co-sponsoring the festival this year is the Lanxess Corp., a chemical and polymers company based in Robinson Township.
