Carnegie Mellon's Spring Carnival and Buggy Races
Set for Thursday-Saturday, April 15-17
EVENT: Carnegie Mellon University's annual Spring Carnival will be held this Thursday-Saturday, April 15-17. This year's theme is "Be a Kid Again."
The Sweepstakes Buggy Races, a Carnegie Mellon tradition since 1920, will be held Friday, April 16, and Saturday, April 17. If inclement weather causes the cancellation of Friday and Saturday competition, races will be held Sunday, April 18.
WHERE: Carnival activities will be held on the "Midway" in the Morewood Gardens parking lot across the street from Hamburg Hall on Forbes Avenue. Buggy races will be held on Tech and Frew streets and Schenley Drive.
WHEN: Carnival activities will be held from 3-11 p.m., Thursday, April 15;
11 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday; April 16, and 11 a.m-9:30 p.m., Saturday, April 17.
Buggy races will be held from 7:30 a.m.-noon, Friday and Saturday, April 16-17.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Margaret Morrison Street, Tech Street, Frew Street and Schenley Drive will be closed from 6 a.m.-noon on Friday and Saturday, April 16-17, for the Sweepstakes Buggy Races.
