Carnegie Mellon Experts to Discuss the Iraq War's Impact-One Year Later
WHAT: One year after President George W. Bush took the United States to war in Iraq, an all-star panel of Carnegie Mellon University international affairs experts will discuss the impact of the war on American relations with allies France and Germany, the nations who most fiercely opposed the war.
WHEN: 4:30 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, February 17.
WHERE: The Adamson Wing of Baker Hall, Carnegie Mellon University, Oakland.
WHO: Moderating the panel will be Kiron Skinner, director of the International Relations Program at Carnegie Mellon and a member of the U.S. Defense Policy Board. The panelists are: Daniel Resnick, emeritus professor of history; Associate German Professor Stephen Brockmann; Associate History Professor Donna Harsch; and Michael West, teaching professor of French and director of the university's Humanities Scholars Program.
