University Leaders To Kick Off International Meeting
Of Research Administration Educators in Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGHCarnegie Mellon University's Jared L. Cohon and University of Pittsburgh's Mark Nordenberg will discuss how universities are becoming engines of economic development. The two education leaders will give their keynote addresses Monday, Oct. 20 from 9 to 10 a.m. in Ballroom A at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh to more than 1,000 members of the Society of Research Administrators (SRA) International. The SRA, founded in 1967, is a nonprofit association dedicated to the education and professional development of research administrators, as well as the enhancement of public understanding of the importance of research and its administration. Eighty-five technology companies, started by Carnegie Mellon alumni and faculty, employ nearly 3,000 in various city locations.
