Carnegie Mellon Engineering Students Challenge Pitt and Penn State in New Vintage Collegiate Car Race

PITTSBURGH—Carnegie Mellon University will be one of three universities competing in the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Caliguiri Collegiate Cup Race at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19. Engineering students from Carnegie Mellon, the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State will complete a series of motorcross challenges, including racing the clock and navigating a specially designed course to test driver skills at high speeds.

Racing teams from both the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State will also be part of the race. All the racecars are hand made by the students.
