Carnegie Mellon's Engineering Department To Host Dow Chemical Co. Research Expert

EVENT: Carnegie Mellon University's Chemical Engineering Department will host Dow Chemical Company's Richard M. Gross, who will speak about innovations in the chemical sciences and technology area, and the necessity for increasing research and development in various industry sectors. Gross, Dow's vice president of research and development, was selected to speak at Carnegie Mellon's eighth Herbert L. Toor Chemical Industry Lectureship because of his commitment to expose students and faculty to issues relevant to the chemical industry. Dow is a leading science and technology company producing innovative chemical, plastic and agricultural products and services. With annual sales of $28 billion, Dow serves customers in 170 countries and a wide range of markets. The lecture is free and open to the public.
