Carnegie Mellon Engineering Students Host Rocket Contest
For 30 Pittsburgh Area Fourth Graders Seeking Science Careers
PITTSBURGHCarnegie Mellon engineering students and faculty will help area fourth graders design, construct and launch more than a dozen model rockets. The rocket launch is part of a day-long program designed to entice more diverse students to consider selecting careers in engineering and science.
The 30 children attend fourth grade classes at a variety of city schools in Squirrel Hill, the Hill District, East Liberty, Greenfield, Shadyside and Point Breeze.
