Carnegie Mellon Conference on
Women's Issues Set for Feb. 24
PITTSBURGHMosaic, Carnegie Mellon University's annual conference on women's issues, will take place from 11:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb.24, in the University Center.
In its sixth year, Mosaic celebrates the achievements of women while contemplating the issues they face in reaching their full potential. The theme of this year's conference is "Make a Difference: A New Generation of Activism." The conference will include sessions on activism on a local, national and global level. Participants are invited to celebrate past successes, to find inspiration in the stories of speakers and presenters, and to anticipate women's future progress.
Keynote speakers for the conference are Jennifer Baumgardner and Amy Richards, co-authors of "ManifestA: Young Women, Feminism and the Future." Nancy Lublin, founder and executive director of "Dress for Success," will be the closing speaker.
The full program and registration information are available online at www.studentaffairs.cmu.edu/mosaic.
