A full list of concept modules is given in the "index of modules" section. Concept modules are meant to deliver instruction on a variety of concepts crucial to causal and statistical reasoning. The modules are meant to be relatively self-contained -- so they can be assigned individually -- but unavoidably they often depend on other modules. Where they do we provide the pre-requisite concepts and give links to them. They do naturally fall into groups, and we give such a grouping in the Index of Concept Modules.

Each module is meant to contain as much material as a mid-level college course covers in one or two hour and twenty minute lectures, including background reading. Unlike lectures or readings, however, the modules are highly interactive. They contain simulations, interactive exercises, open ended lab assignments to be completed in a virtual Causality Lab, and dozens of questions with hints and feedback. At the end of each module is a "Test Your Knowledge" section that consists of an automatically generated and graded quiz.

To sample our modules, you must create an account on the OLI-Jcourse system, and then use the account to log in. A full set of instructions for creating the appropriate account are available if you wish to use them. After doing so, you will be able to do any of the modules in Area 1: Causation. Go to the Jcourse home page to create an account, and then when you login, register for a New Section, using:
