More Updates Related to FAFSA Simplification
March 15, 2024: Carnegie Mellon is currently awaiting FAFSA records from Federal Student Aid. At this time, no FAFSA records have been processed by CMU. Students and families may continue checking this page for updates as the situation progresses.
January 30, 2024: Federal Student Aid announced it will begin transmitting batches of FAFSA information to universities beginning in March. While this may cause some delays, Carnegie Mellon will continue communicating transparently on this issue. At this time, we are working to support newly admitted students pending receipt of their FAFSA data and we are aiming to deliver financial aid offer letters for returning students according to our regular timeline.
January 8, 2024: The 2024-2025 FAFSA is live and will be continuously available except for routine maintenance, typical of any FAFSA cycle.
